June 6-12: I left New York City for my first stop in Orlando, Florida where I’m prepping my car and all of its contents. Arrived on 6/6 and spent about a week pulling everything together.
June 12: Drove to Atlantic Beach, Florida where I bunked with dear friends Chip and Ashley Greene. Was entertained non-stop by their adorable kiddos, Madison and Fenn, both growing up to be strong healthy kids. Madison is five-years-old and quick to tell you she’s 2.5 years cancer free. Perspective.
June 13: Heading to New Orleans, LA and taking my time getting there. Stopped for the night in Marianna, Florida. Noted as a historic Florida town.
June 14: Left Marianna, FL, crossed over Alabama and settled in Biloxi, MS for the night.

June 28: Started the long, long drive from Bandera, TX to Marfa, TX via a pit stop in Ozona, TX.
July 1: Left Marfa, TX ending my long stint in Texas for Las Cruces, NM and White Sand Dunes Monument.
July 2: After checking off my list “sledding down white sand dunes” took the BEAUTIFUL drive from Las Cruces, NM to Taos, NM.
July 17: Wiped tears as I left Taos after two wonderful weeks with the Connelly-Tyssee household. Dropped new friend, Dani, off at the airport and did the long haul to Sedona, Arizona.
July 18: Sedona to Phoenix for a few days. Had my first hike in 6 weeks through the beautiful red rocks of gorgeous Sedona before I hit the road.
July 20: Pulled out of Phoenix in the morning and made my way to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Stayed in Fredonia, AZ at Kaibob Lodge.
July 22: My most ambitious day to date— Fredonia, AZ to Bryce, Utah to Zion National Park. Two national parks and two very strenuous hikes in one day! Slept very well in Hurricane, Utah.
July 23: Left Hurricane (and rocked it like one) for Los Angeles to spend a few days with my friend Stephani. Had a fun afternoon in Vegas on my way.
July 25: After surviving an earthquake and LA traffic I made my way to San Louis Obispo where I spent the night at the historic Madonna Inn.
July 27: Steadily making my way up the coast I found Big Sur and fell deeply in love with Highway 1.
July 29: I would be so sad to leave Big Sur except the drive out is so mindblowingly beautiful. Found my way to San Fransisco by nightfall and for dinner with the Headley family!
July 31: After one of the most interesting experiences of my life in SF, I escaped for the quiet and calm on Napa Valley, CA.
August 3: After three days sitting under olive trees and drinking bone dry Rose I had to move on. Although, I’d love to stay there forever. Loved Tres Sabores in Napa Valley. On to Shelter Cove Inn in Shelter Cove, CA.
August 5: Said goodbye to the rocky cliffs and black sand beaches of Shelter Cove, drove up Avenue of Giants, and landed in Coos Bay, Oregon.
August 8: After three incredible days of wear-yourself-out fun and food I made my way further up the Oregon coast. A quick stop in Newport and overnight in Lincoln City.
August 9: Pushed further North to the beautiful, throwback of a town Seaside, OR.
August 10: On my way to Seattle via stops at Nike’s world headquarters and Portland.
August 13: Turning in a new direction, EAST! Bigfork, Montana!
September 3: Tearfully leave Bigfork to venture further East and eventually home. First night back on the road is in Billings via an afternoon in beautiful Bozeman.

I am enthralled! Missed giving you tips for New Orleans but now I’ll follow regularly. If you’re going to Austin, hopefully, we’ll fill you in. My sister moved there two weeks ago and we love it there. Wildflowers still blooming I hear! Now crank up that radio and ride!
Lots of love and admiration for The Stretch!
